I picked this up at a thrift store yesterday. I hate to admit I’m not even sure what form factor it’s even for. It’s heavy as can be for as short as it is.

no clue, but you might wanna try epoxying it to a video card, that might be the only solid use for it.

EDIT: Not quite. I see that the Cooljag has a slot cut through the middle of the fins. It's probably a stock Nocona heatsink.

EDIT II: Ah...Nocona it is. Same colour too.

Yes, nice work. Glad I didn’t buy more (they had at least one other). Not much use without a 1U xeon board with a proprietary HSF mounting system.
The way they attach directly to the motherboard tray/case is kinda cool though. If they could pick a standard location all heat-sinks could be mounted like this. The heatsink on an A64 setup I built, put so much strain on the motherboard it was warping it and making the ram not engage all the way in their slots.
