I have a 5.1 Creative Labs T6100 surround system that can never work on the surround settings, specifcally, the left rear channel will always come out through the subwoofer when I am doing a speaker test. I have changed the speakers out and confirmed it is not a speaker issue. I have changed the sound card as well from an Asus Xonar DX to a HDA Claro Plus and both cards have the same issue. I have reinstalled both drivers on each card and moved the cards to different slots on my motherboard.
A format did not help this either; originally I had thought this was a sound card issue but now I am thinking it is either a software issue in Vista 64, or the subwoofer unit itself where everything plugs in.
I'm running Vista 64, I use the 5.1 for gaming and my new Audotechnicas for music. I would rather avoid having to call Creative tech support which I have heard is rather...shitty.
