I'm looking for one that is

a) full-tower (planning on watercooling), preferably aluminum material

b) removeable top panel

The reason I need the removable top panel is for painting/dremeling/drilling purposes. While very attractive and mod-friendly, all the Lian-Li's (especially the PC-7077...the one I was intent on buying) have the top panel securely riveted to the rest of the case and upon inspection of my roommate's Lian-Li I realized that it would be VERY HARD to remove...

So yeah... Lian-Li seems like a no-go.

From what I understand, the 1st-generation Praetorian has a screw-on top cover... That's pretty cool 'cept I feel like I will need more room.

Hell, even the Silverstone TJ-07 has a riveted top panel.

Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations?

you can buy one of those bif aluminum chenming/chieftec/antec cases and drill out the rivets in the top panel, replace them with screws when finished. i cant remember ever hearing about a case with a removable top except for the old tower cases where the sides and top were one piece.
