Help me decide! Some part upgrade advice needed.

Here are my 2 options:

1) 64GB Super Talent SSD, and a Q9550. ~$400 dollars

The more im thinking about it should I scrap both of those and go with an i5 build for about 50 dollars more?

i5 750, MSI P55-GD65, and some DDR3 ram.

What would net the most performance increase? I primarily game on this machine.

Ill be reusing everything else in my sig.

edit: decided on the i5 build, makes more sense and will last me longer, ill get an SSD later when the prices drop.

if your games take advantage of more than 2 cores, then the quad would give you more performance for those games. however, the ssd would improve everything, but probably would affect gaming the least, lol.
