Hey all,

Currently I am looking for a set 2.1 speakers. I have around $100.00 maybe a little more if need to be :p, but I have narrowed down my choices between the Edifier S330D and the Logitech Z-2300. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these speakers and could possibly help me decide between the two. Of course, if there are speakers around my budget that offer superior quality, then I will consider that as well.

I will be primarily gaming and listening to music with these speakers.

Thanks!

Swan M10 or anything but the two which you listed. Neither are worth the $$. Get them used on ebay for $20. That is more of their true value.

Are you in the USA or ?

I live in Canada and I can only find one computer store that sells Swans and they sell the Swans S400. How does that compare to the M10?

I'll give a look on eBay to see if anyone is selling the M10. Thanks for the honesty though, it seems my speaker selection was terrible, lol.

ah canada. yeah that makes it a bit tricky. your speaker selection was not terrible, just normal ignorance of what is out there.

yeah check ebay and report back. canada is tough unless you can score some old Paradigms for cheap. then you need a receiver too.

I read some reviews on the M10 and they sound really great :D

eBay is not showing any results for me, but I did find an American store called The Audio Insider. Shipping costs are reasonable and the speakers are just slightly over my budget, but it should be good. I'm just happy that the Canadian dollar is comparable to the US dollar, makes buying equipment from the US a lot easier.

Glad to hear it. Should make things simple for you.

I have the swans m10's. I absolutely love them. They're great for music and gaming, clean and crisp. Explosions may not be as boomy as it could be with a real sub, but that doesn't really bother me, just thought i'd say. I bought mine at audioinsider as well. If you don't like the speakers, you can always return it back to them.

The box comes with gloves, so you don't get all your finger prints over the speakers, and comes with the cable you need to connect them to your computer, so don't make the mistake of buying the cable separately like I did.

Also, they look gorgeous!

Cheers.

Thanks for the advice Spaceman and thanks for the feedback on the speakers FinalAura. Glad to see other people having good experience with these speakers.

All that needs to be done now is fill out that order form and click "checkout" :D

Be aware that the subwoofer for this set *should* be desk level. Just letting you know in case you have limited desk space to work with.

Yeah, I heard about that as well. Not too worried about it, I have a rather large computer desk that can easily accommodate it.

Thanks for the concern though.

hi i'm considering these speakers as well.. what kind of input does it take? 3.5mm analog? s/pdif? thanks!

thx for the info!

psynotic:

pls give a review once u recieve ur speakers! also.. which sound card are u using with the speakers?

Sure thing Supapuffy, I'll try to get a review as soon as I get these speakers. As for the soundcard, I'll be using the Auzentech Prelude. I'm still buying the rest of my parts for an upcoming build, so I'll swap my Prelude into an older computer to see how the soundcard treats the speakers.
