my current system is in my sig, and im wondering what i should upgrade on it. should i upgrade the cpu to 64 bit? or should i get the x800xt and leave the proc?

I'm not entirely convinced that ATI has the top of the line stuff for this round of chips. Their cards don't do OpenGL very well (Doom 3) and have no support for PS 3.0 (Farcry).
If your going to game and plan on upgrading to a better cpu/mobo at a later date, get the 6800.
However, this card will be extremely bottlenecked by your current hardware config so don't expect to ever be able to use it to its full potential.
I would say to max out this box first. Get a 9800 pro and enjoy. Then, when your ready, sell this box to a friend and build a new one from scratch with that 6800 and a a64/nforce4 MB.
