No, L204WT uses 8bit TN panel.

you are right it uses the LG Philips LM201WE3 20"WS TN Film 16.7(8-Bit) panel. still its a TN though and that kinda sucks.

one thing is viewing angles. i know the specs may say 160 or 170 but in reality the are usually much worse. the screen could look dark just looking at it slightly off center. go here for some good info... http://www.behardware.com/html/cat/22/

As per the panel guide sticky, TN panels are speed-demons on the cheap. They sacrifice colour, black levels, and viewing angles (as trek554 mentioned). My Samsung 710N has truly awful viewing angles, I have to re-tilt it whenever I change my sitting position from upright to leaning back. And side view angles are ABYSMAL, even being a little off center I can notice the whole panel appearing much brighter(not in a good way).

ok well i see your point there, but most of the time i stay in the same posistion, and it will be inbetween two other moniters, so i think it will be fine

if anything i can move it aroudn a bit
