Help me choose a replacement pump

I've just finished work on the watercooling setup for my machine. Well - I thought I had. My pump is leaking like a seive and seemingly no amount of PTFE tape or silicone sealant seems to do the trick. Looks like a new one is in order.

My current pump is an Eheim 1250. I'm running a Swiftech Storm, two MCW55's "in series" on the 7800's, a BIX 3 rad and a 2.5 litre reservoir/passive rad. CPU temps max out at about 50 DegC under full gaming load with rad fans on low speed, and 46-ish at idle/using desktop apps, but running on fully passive cooling.

I was wondering if there were any other pumps I should consider before getting another 1250. I was thinking about maybe geting a 1260 or even a 1262 to get increased pressure for the Storm, but I don't want to overdo things if there would be no performance benefit.

Any ideas/experiences?

the Laing D5, or DCC are worthy pumps. they're much smaller and 12-volt. Thus making for a cleaner install.

I had the same thing happen with my 1250--turns out I tightened the inlet too much and cracked the housing. You can get a replacement for the housing around the inlet barb from D-Tek .

But I orderd a MCP650 to replace it. A little bit smaller footprint and much quiter than the 1250, so I'd recommend it! :D
