I need help picking parts, I have around $2000 to spend on this, I can go alittle over but want to keep it close to 2k. Im going to start getting some of the parts now but want to get all by the end of Jan. So if a new mobo is expected out by then then I can wait.

I know I want these 3 parts, the rest I need help picking...

what kind of hard drive space you want? do u want a raptor?
I think 2x250gb seagate sata is fine, or one raptor and one 250gb sata.

do you want a sound card or is onboard fine?

wow, $2k is a freaking huge budget. thats like SLI rig budget, but this is matx :eek:
 
I also advise going with the opteron, if you get the 170, you will have dual core, and it too is 2.2ghz and it is cheaper. so get better proccesing, and for less price
 
you are indeed correct, it is 2 .0ghz, however, i just saw that the vendor i got mine from is now charging $61 more happy:) for me, sad:( for others, as i got mine in retail box for $406
