Hey guys I am tired of using my laptop as a desktop so its time I build a new rig..

Okay
1) What will I be doing with this pc? - Gaming Some fps games - rts d3, etc very high resolution want maxxed graphics , live streaming, a full time virtual box of linux also hosting a minecraft server 24/7 200mb connection. I also do a lot of php/mysql coding don't want to dual boot anymore, video encoding, insane multitasking...
2) Budget? - under 15k
3) what do I need for my budget the actual desktop itself will use built in nic/sound cards etc, do not need keyboards monitors any of that jazz just basic mobo/cpu/case/memory/video cards/
4) I don't really want to overclock but I can will most likely water cool like a corsair w/c unit nothing custom dont want to refill water ever...
5) Monitors I will be using 4 32" 120hz tv's in portrait for surriound view, and a dell 30" off to the side for my linux screen
6) I plan on starting the build the first of march I heard new nvidia 800 coming could wait a few weeks....
7)I do want raid 0 which is standard on most boards, I come from scsi ultra 360 land if that tells you anything I have not really messed with ssd drives or sata 3.0
8) I will be using windows 8.1 pro and of course virtual linux mint..

Would I benefit going dual xeons for this? over one i7? seems like a big load for one cpu but what do I know...

that should sum it up in a nut shell what I am trying to accomplish...

Please answer the stickied "ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FIRST!" so that we can help you better.

Budget... No budget... I want a 5 year machine. meaning in 5 years i want to play battle field xx without needed to go buy a new video card / cards
LOL! No that's not happening. Look back 5 years ago: The top card then was the GTX 280. Even two of those cards in SLI aren't that good for BF4 now short of low resolution and low settings.

Honestly, you are not going to be able to play the newest bf in 5 years at 1600p without upgrading your GPUs.

As for the build: no budget is 1k, 2k, 4k+? Generally, I would recommend an i7-4770K or i7-4930K, 780 sli or 790 sli, 4x8gb 1866 ram, SSD + HDD. Any size restriction mATX or ATX mb?

honestly I could spend 5k or more if needed.. I would rather stay with intel, I am open to any kind of GPU's

3) what do I need for my budget Everything but monitors I currently have a dell 30" either picking up two more or two 20" for triple monitors
Apparently, you didn't read the question correctly:
What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

I need case, mobo, cpu's, memory, hdd, gpu's everything I dont know how I can be more clear than that.... if I have nothing and need everything but a monitor :)

Everything can include:
  • sound card
  • Intel NIC
  • Wifi card
  • bluetooth adapter
  • printer
  • speaker
  • headphones
  • microphone
  • hardware RAID controller
  • firewire card
  • external hard drive
  • internal USB hub
  • external USB hub
  • card reader
  • fan controller
  • case lighting
  • LED fans
  • sound dampening
  • operating system
  • hot-swap bay
  • etc

You see why I want people to be SPECIFIC?;)

Anyway, assuming (I don't like doing that) that you just need the CPU, mobo, RAM, GPU, SSD, HDD, PSU, and case, I recommend the following (This build better be for real or otherwise I'm going to feel like I wasted my time :)):
$550 - Intel Core i7-4930K CPU
$315 - Asus Sabertooth X79 Intel X79 Motherboard
$580 - 4 x Kingston HyperX Red 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
$1020 - 2 x eVGA 03G-P4-2784-K GeForce GTX 780 3GB PCI-E Video Card
$382 - Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SSD
$220 - 2 x Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001 3TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$280 - Seasonic Platinum-1000 1000W Modular PSU
----
Total: $3347 shipped.

Choose your own case. I recommend the following cases:
$130 - NZXT Phantom 530 Black Full Tower ATX Case
$150 - Corsair Graphite Series 600TM ATX Case
$160 - Corsair Obsidian Series 750D ATX Case
$160 - Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T ATX Case
$170 - Corsair Obsidian Series 650D ATX Case
$170 - NZXT Phantom 630 Gunmetal Full Tower ATX Case
$170 - NZXT Phantom 630 White Full Tower ATX Case
$230 - Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case
$250 - Silverstone FT02S-W-USB3.0 ATX Case
$245 - Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW ATX Case

Now build a second identical one and ship it to me. Thanks.

Here you go. Managed to spend over 5k:

I would suggest the 4770k as a far more cost effective alternative to an Extreme processor, it often performs a teeny bit better in games. However, it sounds like you will have this PC to do a lot of other things while you game and the two extra cores are invaluable for that. So that is why the Extreme processor.

You're better off splitting this into two builds rather than do it all with one: One powerful workstation like the one I posted and a separate virtual machines server running ESXi or Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V or Xen. That way anything you do on the workstation won't affect that Minecraft server or the Linux Mint VM. In addition, not all server motherboards will support SLI, a rather important feature for you considering that you wanted extremely high gaming performance.

Also, you really don't need to RAID 0 SSDs. It really won't help much unless you're constant transferring massive amounts of data (we're takling hundreds of gigs here) from one drive to another every hour of every day.

hmm thanks for the input... I did find a motherboard Asus Z9PE-D8 WS. but it has some bad reviews.. I will think about just building a second box... just wanted to get away from multiple pc's

Yeah, unfortunately, that's going to be your best bet to accomplish what you want. In addition to the lack of SLI support, there's also the lower overall clock speed. Since games still haven't become extremely multi-threaded yet, higher clock speed is still a factor. So the Core i7 4930K's 3.5Ghz clock speed is going to be more useful for gaming than the Xeon E5 2629's 2.1Ghz clock speed.

I configured a top of the line Mac Pro at apple.com. Unfortunately, with all the goodies, software, external storage, etc. the total comes to $20,141.92 which is over your budget.
