HELP! Magnifier problem ...

Hello, imac newbie here :)

I've got a huge problem, and I wonder if anyone here can help me resolve it, point to a solution etc.

I recently put an MS magnifier mouse on my imac, which seemed to work well... with one minor niggle : everytime I logged into my account the imac it would zoom to maximum magnification, leaving me navigating a screen where each pixel was about half an inch wide. Not a problem, simply click the magnify button again and away it went.

Except I now no longer have my magnifier mouse. I lent it to a friend who was having mouse problems, since I figure I'll simply plug another USB mouse in.

Except it's still magnifying, and I've got no way to take it out of magnified mode. Thus leaving me with an imac in a virtually unusable state.

After much cursing I managed to go into applications, figuring I'd simply delete the "mouse" app. Except that's not done the trick. I've gone in and removed the "helper" app from the login applications... that didn't do a damn thing.

So, how can I remove the magnifier? It hopefully mustn't be too tricky a procedure, as navigation (as you can imagine) is currently a HUGE problem :(

So .... help?

my best guess would just be to make a new account, or get in touch with microsoft and see what they can tell you
