So you want the 3.0e and your dads wants the 3.0c?? I say if your not overlcoking then either cpu will run just fine. Its still somewhat up in the air but I *think* the 3.0e edges out the 3.0c by a couple percent.... Both are great chips.


PS let your dad pick out the CPU, its his cash and its probibly going into the computer he bought.
 
Unless you OC that prescott to 3.6+GHz it will be inferior to the northwood.

The prescott actually outperforms northwood when both are at 4ghz.


The 3.0C is better than the 3.0E, right now.
 
Why do you want an extremely hot, but not so fast cpu?
the prescott isn't mature yet and it's still slow compared to the northwood.
