i have recently bought a new Isis 42" 3d HD TV when i try to plug my HDD to it via USB the media browser appears but every time i select a film it say unsupported format now bare in mind i have checked to see if the tv supports the files in question and they do so.was wondering is it a simple case of update the firmware on the TV,if so how ive never updated a tv before plz any suggestions would be a massive help thanks again peeps.PS does anyone know who manufactuers Isis tv went on toshiba website after looking on the web and found someone suggested toshiba and typed in the product code to look for firmware nothing comes up.thanks again ;-)
ps the hdd im using is a wd my book 1tb,which i used with a toshiba 40 inch and a 32 inch samsung with no problems but trying to get a film to play on the isis tv is so frustrating i just cant find an answer im hoping someone would of had this problem with a similar tv

hi,
i had the same problem, after doing some looking into i found that it wont play anything over 4g this is due to fat 32 so i bought a media player (this plays anything you throw at it) for £20 of ebay which your hdd connects to via usb the media player connects to your tv via hdmi cable, job done i can now watch 1080p and 1080i ,3d films in stunnig hd.
fat 32 will only has a maximum 4g file also some codecs wont work on the tv as well, but the way i have done it this will last for ages,

and just 1 otherthing i have trouble trying to turn the tv on i push the standby button then the p/chl+ button and all the tv does is flash the little red standby light at me ,bloody frustrating:mad: why you have to push 2 buttons to turn it on i'll never know.
hope this helps
regards
danny
