Help: Installing T-Line

Hi Guys,
I just placed my order for a high-end Danger Den water cooling system consisting of:

1. TDX Athlon 64 Lucite
2. Z-Chip Waterblock
3. 12Volt Pump
4. ClearFlex 60 1/2" Tubing
5. Nylon Tee
6. Geforce 6800 Waterblock
7. Black Ice Micro II Radiator

I am currently running the Aquarius II, so I'm not totally a noob to watercooling.

Now, my question is:

How exactly do you install the T-Line and what do you plug the end with?
How should I fill the system? There is no tank.

thanks

The "T" should go in between the last block and the intake of the pump.

i plug my tline with a 1/2" barb with a cap on the threaded end. pour water into the tline until the water level starts going down. turn on the pump. keep adding water until the water level stops going down. at this point there won't be any more air in your system. remember to shake your rad, too. check for leaks and such while letting it run.

very elite ascii art. luckily it worked out so that i could mostly fill my rad with my tline since it was a bit above it and a the pump.

Flak,
So you leave the T-line open while the pump is running during the initial filling / leak testing phase?

Won't the water just shoot out of the T-line?

hehe... I was going to, but my case is only a mid-tower. I doubt I can fit a 120mm radiator in there.

RadBox.
Mount it outside the case.

I think I'm going to go the RadBox route.
I'm thinking I can mount a dual heatercore w/ shround (from dangerden) using just one RadBox. Hopefully my case has enough room in back so there's nothing in the way.
Worst case senario, I only get the single heatercore w/ shroud from dangerden to go with the RadBox.

nope. water CAN'T shoot out without leaving a vacuum in the system.

You shouldn't just let your pump run while you pour in water, that's almost like running it dry. Turn it on long enough to suck up what you poured in, turn it off, pour more, turn it on, turn it off, pour more, etc ...

Thanks...

I added one of those Danger Den Filler Caps to my order just to make sure my half-assed homemade cap wouldn't leak.

I hope they ship it out this week.

i just pour it in steadily. a few seconds won't kill it.

I received all my stuff yesterday and noticed that the last block and the pump don't connect... Here is the setup:

Pump -> CPU Block -> GPU Block -> Radiator -> Pump

So I assume that I should put the Fill line between the GPU Block and the Radiator?

Is that correct?

I believe you'd put it right before the pump.
I would imagine you'd put it right where the res would be, and I'd always have my res feeding my pump (ie, right before it).

That's what I'm thinking too... It's either:

1. Between GPU block and Radiator
2. Between Radiator and Pump

I'm leaning towards 2

Put it before the radiator and you turn it into a wannabe reservoir. That will make filling the system easier and not run the pump dry so much.

I've never done a T-line setup but I think it doesn't requirer a res so I'm thinking he's on the right track of putting it just before the inlet on his pump.

I ended up putting it between the last block and the radiator... Seems to be working fine. I've got it running at home bleeding right now.
