Well, I have my raptor drive. I installed it, made sure everything was connected, booted up windows, and it is not detected. I tried making sure the cables were connected, restarting windows, and going into the bios. The boot order is 1. my main ide drive 2. my raptor 3. all removable drives ........... im utterly stumped

The raptor is a 2nd drive right? Do you see it in the bios? If so, you probably need to format the drive so you can see it in "my computer" as a D: or C: or whatever you make it...

got to control panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management> then scroll down and see "Disk Management" click on this, and this is where you can format that volume so windows can see it.
