I have looked around in faqs about what to do and haven't found any yet. I am installing a harddrive (sata) and windows disk management is not finding it. It is on and spinning atleast, but that is about the most I can do diagnostics wise with my limited knowledge.

I have sucessfully installed a harddrive in this same machine before and disk management just pops up. This will be my third hard drive in the computer utilizing my third sata connection. Is there some tricks to get disk management to find it?

OK I messed around in BIOS (i really shouldn't, i dont know what the hell i am doing) but i found out the 3rd and 4th sata ports are for RAID. I went into raid utlity and formatted the drive.

I started up windows, went to disk management, and it till does not show up!

Hmm...installed raid driver (hah), and now it works perfectly. 320gb of awesomeness. Now if anyone can solve my problem of starting retarded projects this late at night when I have classes in the morning...

I guess i'll leave this open in case anyone needs to learn?
