Ok, so I finally have a good gaming system worth overclocking, something I havent done now in a few years. I am looking to get my X2 4400 up to 2.42Mhz. My system new system is currently the following:

AMD X2 4400
Asus A8N32-SLI
Ballictixs Tracer Memory DDR PC4000 • 2.5-4-4-8
2 X Albatron 7800GT's in SLI
Zalman 9500 heatsink

Obviously I can move the FSB up to 220Mhz but will I need to up the voltages for the CPU and memory? if so how much? and will I need to change my memory timings?

I found this thread to be helpful on the OC endeavor.
Run memtest when testing how fast your ram will go. Do not boot into windows as it may corrupt the installation.

my cpu HTT was fine around 220 without additional voltage
The A8N-SLI limits cpu voltage to 1.575, so you can't raise it more than that, hence why some chose the DFI board. considering such, I felt safe at 1.575 and it's proven stable to reach 2.62Ghz while temps are around 52 C full load.

Loosen memory timings if you want higher FSB and it's giving errors in memtest.

I also have the 4400+ I am currently running HTT at 285 x 9 (2565 Mhz). Memory is running 475 5:6 with 2.5-3-3-5. I am running 1.4 volts on the CPU and no voltage increase on the memory. Heat sink is a XP-90c /w Ventec Tornado. I was concerned about going above 1.45 volts to get 2.6 or above.

What is the max voltage for that CPU - Is 1.5 safe? Current load temps are 44c

I see so you dropped the multiplier before upping the clock. I tried moving the clock to 220, but it didn't like that but I really didn't try upping the voltages.
