Plan to overclock it and having a hard time on what memory to purchase. Want 2 * 512 dimms.

Here are choices I was planning on considering:

Mushkin 3500 Lvl 2
Corsair XMS 4000 Pro
OCZ 3700 Gold Revision 2
OCZ 4000 Gold
OCZ 4200 Gold

Plan on getting these 3 weeks from now and the Mushkin may no longer be available due to bh-5 chip is no longer being made. For the DDR500 memory and my 2.8c ill need to be capable of running at a raw 250 FSB. What are the chances of this and which memory would you recomend and why?
 
Everything look's fine, but I would spend a little more and get then 9800XT, as for your RAM, I would not get OCZ, I would choose either Corsair, GeIL, or Mushkin. PC4000 or above to last you a while.

how do you like your geil? whats wrong with ocz? according to some other sites they outperformed the others and are warrantied up to 2.9v or 3.0v?

I love my GeIL, it's been awesome to me, 2-2-2-6.

As for OCZ, I know that in the past they couldn't be trusted, but hey, if you buy it and you actually get it, then more power to ya :)

i'd stick with the 9800Pro

and i'd get the Corsair XMS, since you've got a p4 sys. the higher speed of the RAM will come in handy.
