A friend of mine just burned up his CPU (he says) and bought a new PC and gave me the parts of his old one. Among them is what looks like a TV-Tuner card. (see below) It's stamped Phillips (philips? --- cant remember now) and has 2 coaxel plugs, a RCA plug, what appears to be a power plug, a S-video output, and possibly a headphone jack (see below) IT also has an "AUDIO OUT" that runs to a wire like a CD drive runs to a soundcard. I've searched for drivers numerous places and can find none. It owuld help if I knoew what I was looking for. The friend got the PC off ebay so he had no idea either...

Please excuse the images, I'm still learning to use my new camera...

anyhelp would be appreciated! and thanks! Please excuse the "links" I tried but the board does not like HTML...

I think this could be a list of cards that use the philips chipset...dunno if its the same, but it could be a jumping off point.

I wouldnt say thats a power plug, probably an audio conenctor to the sound card inputs.

usally you need to eather jump them into a cd in on the
mobo with that cable or you run a cable from the audio out on the tv card to the audio in on your soundcard. that is how you acheve sound. ive had a few different capture cards and they all worked like this.
