I'm building a PC from parts I have laying around and I have two VCs and I can't remember which one is the best (overall) One is a Gigabyte GV R995128T and the other is a Sapphire Radeon X550 256MB. Which one should I use????
Hmm, some googling around doesn't help with that gigabyte card. Snooping around some more reveals it might be a 9550. If that's the case, it's going to be about as fast as the x550. If these things are true, i'd use the X550 simply because it's newer.
Yep, must've been a typo in the model. Gigabyte R955128T is their version of the Radeon 9550 128MB AGP card.
EDIT: Here is a forum thread with your exact dilemma. Popular consensus seems to be that the X300 is slightly better. Also, the 9550 is AGP and the X300 PCI-e, no? So do you have a choice in buses with your mobo?
