Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
hi , im a noob to wc3 and i want to host games. people have said u have to open up ports. what ports do i need to open and how do u open ports. do u have to have software to open ports??
Find the model router you have, and then when it brings up the list of games, select warcraft 3. It'll take you through the entire process, step by step. It's a bit confusing at first, but once you figure out exactly what you're doing, you can finish it pretty quickly.
Or you can just open the DMZ, I just opens everything so you should be able to play all ur games. But opening the DMZ leaves you vulnerable to anything so be careful if you use it.
if you have a router this means you need to setup a internal static IP on your PC. like if your router is 192.168.1.1 and it starts DHCP at 192.168.1.2 . you should set your PC to like 192.168.1.101, this is to avoid IP conflicts. then set the port forwards to point the 6112-6119 TCP and UDP to 192.168.1.101.
you also have to open these ports up on the PC so they can get pass windows firewall or if you have a 3rd party firewall like norton internet security or mcafee security center you need to set it to also not block 6112-6119. when i first started i just turned windows firewall off when i played.
if you are still having issues send me a message if you see me online in wc3 , same username.
