My PC is in another room from where the main big screen 55 inch is at. I want to be able to mirror whatever is on the PC to the TV but there is no attic in the room the PC is in...IS there any other way to mirror it without running an HDMI cable ?

They do have long run HDMI cables. How do you plan to control the PC remotely? I ended up just putting my HTPC in the living room by the TV.

You can also run HDMI over Cat 5e or Cat 6 with HDMI balun adapters on either end. There are also several wireless methods but for video I would recommend something over a wire first before anything wireless ( if you care about image quality anyway).

Well I wanted to game on the 55 inch so I guess there is no way around not having to use a wire through the house..If I Could run the wire I would def go HDMI but it seems running the wire might not even be possible. The Asus motherboard I have allows you to control the PC remotely. BTW how far can an hdmi signal go Ive heard longer than 50ft might not work? Appreciate the help

What games?

I play most of my games over my network using Steam in home streaming.

My game runs on my main rig upstairs, streams downstairs t omy HTPC.

I get absolutely awesome frame rates on my HTPC and virtually no lag. My HTPC is only a G3258 and a basic b85 gigabyte MOBO. Along with a SSD and 8 gigs of ram.

I have yet to experience any stuttering or lag. You almost certainly need to have gigabit wired connections on each end though.
