These are the specs:

AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ (AM2/Brisbane/65nm) - noted max. power consumption of 65W
Gigabyte M61PM-S2 (mATX/1*PCIeX16/1*PCIeX1/2*PCI/AM2/NF430/int.GF6100)
1* Gainward 7600GT Golden Sample (rev.2) - noted max. power consumption of 36W
2* 1GB Kingston ValueRAM
3* 40mm Fan (no LED)
1* 120m Fan (no LED)
1* 160GB WD1600AAKS
1* Samsung DVD-RW Lightscribe drive

All that in SFF casing. Most possibly my friend might want to add a secondary HDD and/or DVD or DVD-Burner drive in there in the future. Or maybe a TV card as well.

I was just thinking of a 350W power supply at 30A dual 12V rails ? Enough ?

This is the one I have in mind (German site, but see below description, you'll undersand):

I'm not exactly sure how much power the motherboard, RAM or DVD burner eats.

Any advise please ?

Memory usually takes 10W for each stick. Rule of thumb for DVD drives is 20-25W. Motherboard is usually 25W.

I would probably go with this Antec case. But wait until someone with a little more knowledge on PSUs comes along. I know some, but nowhere near as some of these guys

I kind of doubt it actualy has a combined 12v rating of 30a. I have only seen a couple of be quiet reviews...last one I remember was a Topower P6 based unit. I'll have to look around and see if i can find this unit.

As for alternatives.......Where are you located? What price range?

Topower is not something available though. I'm currently sitted in Germany. And I'm hoping only max. cost of 60 Euros for the PSU. I already used a couple of Be Quiet (US brand: Listan) and I really like them for except for the new Pro series. Many reviews stand they have an efficiency of 82+%. Plus they are VERY ideal for Media PC in terms of quietness. I never felt these PSU go hot at all even after long hours of gaming.

Like you said it has a combined 12V rating of 30A, which is for me really good for SFFs with only small number of components. But I'm really considered about the total Wattage requirements if for example I would add like a 2nd HDD and/or some other PCI components (eg: TV tuner).

Thanks for the info on the wattage for the other components. I'm all okay with the casing, it's not a problem at all. Just the choice of PSU.

No I wsa saying hte last bequiet I saw was a Topower unit. bequiet does not make their own PSU's.

Actually I didn't say that...I said I kind of doubt it is 30A.

Oops... totally misunderstood everything... but I don't care anymore, I bought the PSU and test run with 2 more PCI cards (2 TV tuners), 1 more HDD and 1 more DVD drive. Played 2 DVD movies using MPC6 and WMP10, copied files between the 2 HDDs, ran Media Center to record from the TV tuner.

Okey everything was super slow as hell and media encoded from Media Center 2005 sucked but after about 40 minutes of letting it do that, never crashed, PSU went a bit warm but not hot. Of course it went a bit louder, but that's normal.

Well I'm satisfied, cheers folks !
