help from water cooling gurus

I'm trying to look up parts for a water cooling system for my next pc build which will probably be based off a conroe cpu. I was wondering if any of you could help me put together a sweet water cooling setup for $200-250. I would want a pump that powers on with the psu so either a 12v pump with molex connector or another pump with a relay switch kit. I just don't know what parts are best.
 
The kit at Petra is what the custom gurus would recommend. Petra just put all the best stuff into the kits already so it's a no brainer.
 
Yup, Petra is about the easiest you will get while achieving great performance.

Is a T-line with a fill port just as good as say a 5.25" bay reservoir? They say the bay reservoirs are good because they tend to get air out better because all the air gets trapped in the reservoir. Correct me if i'm wrong.
 
With res you hear gurgling sometimes and yes it's faster to get the air out (20 mins maybe). T line is cleaner though, and cannot hear the water at all. Tline I let run a few hours for the bubbles / air to clear. Use a Danger Den syringe to quickly fill loop with tline.

How do you know how long/high the tubing has to be for a t-line/fillport so that the liquid doesn't come flowing out when you try to fill it/opening up the fill port?
 
You have to start slow and quickly give the pump power to push the water through to the entire loop - Tline can be as long as you want, mine is about 8 inches.
