Help Finding GPU Fan Info

I've been looking for a few hours now trying to find other fan manufacturers that make something comparable to my current fan specs on my gpu. Problem is I can't find much about my gpu's fan info

XFX 7950 Double D
Fan they use is made by FirstD model # FD9015U12S
Fan specs on label is 12v .55 amps


I'd like to find the actual fan dimensions, CFM rating, Noise db, MTBF, and also bearing type (I believe its sleeve).

I own 8 XFX 7950's Double D's and I've had 3 fans die on them and XFX has been good about sending me replacement heatsinks with fans so I can swap them over myself. I'd like to find an alternative fan that is higher quality. These fans hate running at 70% or more for 24 hours a day. These fans seem to start to go bad in as little time as 1-3 months with fans speeds slowing down and occasionally seizing all together where I manually have to start up the fan with my finger. The 2 sapphire 7950's I've owned for 1 month now seem to still be holding out all right. All these gpus are in an open air environment and have at least 1 full slot between each other so they aren't wedged tight. Inside ambient temperature is under 70F and all the cards are stock clocks. The XFX 6870's have been champs for the last 2 years running 24x7 with the stock Reference design.

I'm sure the XFX has a serious design flaw in the fan setup. The fan itself maybe fine, but the heavy metal they bond with an adhesive or thin double sided tape is causing the fans to wear out prematurely. The stickers aren't centered perfectly and when rotating at a higher RPM is putting an excessive force on the sleeve bearing. Same concept applies to an aviation prop spinning at 3000 RPM or so. Any out of balance prop can cause engine mount cracks and excessive engine bearing wear.

Oh yeah don't mind the dust as I just blew out the setup with my DataVac duster, which by the way is awesome for those that have never used one. I blow out the setup probably once every 2 weeks to keep it relatively clean

fans on graphics cards have so little mass the stickers they put on them do not matter much, compared to a prop which is far larger has far more mass and therefore much greater momentum so yes, a little unbalance on them can be devastating.

Typically you have better luck going full Watercooling than trying to get specialty replacement fans for GPUs
 
or doing a "mod" to use standard case fans instead of the stock fans a lot of video cards use which tend to wear out quite fast ESPECIALLY when left to automatic speeds instead of manual control for X % which tends to be much much easier on the bearings, though also usually needing more cleaning as a result, always a fine balance of % to find the sweet spot as most coolers do not work much differently say running the fans at 100% or 80% as lots of backpressure is just putting stress on the fans for nothing.

I had great luck with my 6870, got an acellero S1 rev2 slapped on dual 120mm case fans(72.6cfm decently quiet ziptied) got some zalman ram sinks attached these to the various components vregs-ram etc via a drop of AS5 and crazy glue to make sure they stayed put, even heavy overclocked kept the card on all its parts 70c or below in a very warm room, tis a bit more expensive but this way here if a fan goes "bad" its so much easier to get 120mm fan and even rheostat them then it is to find these pesky thin, very high rpm, low cfm 3 mount fans they tend to use, blower fans while they do create lots of pressure also tend to wear out far to fast.

Could always try a drop or 2 of 3 in 1 oil to lube the bearing back up. I did this with a fan I gave to my brother an older scythe slipstream 110 cfm a few blasts of wd40 works as good as new now :)
