I don't usually like asking for help since my Google-foo should be able to do this, but I'm at a total loss for where to go forward with this one:

Basically, I have a 1U network appliance (Firebox x 700) that apparently had a PSU failure. The three right most pins (burnt ones) output nothing (checked with my multimeter.)

I would like to find a replacement for the PSU, but online suppliers are only selling "new" ones that are the exact PSU cost more than the Firebox is worth. If I can't find a replacement for ~$30-40, I might as well consider it totaled and buy another Firebox and use this for parts. The exact model is a Skynet SNP-Z101 (Here is the spec sheet) The online suppliers seem to only have them for $100, I can get two more Firebox Xs for that much. :(

But I must ask, does anyone knows of a place that sells these for cheaper, or what other one would I need to get that would be a perfect replacement? This PSU has 9 output pins, and any ones I see are 8 pins.

Here is the motherboard input, I guess this is probably the most important in telling what type of PSU is needed:

There are more images in this directory if you think you need to look at something closer (is the cable important/unique?): http://cs2.zsnnet.org/power

Thanks for any help you can give, I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out wtf this thing really is. I guess it's a 6+6 Pin AT open frame PSU, but none I find match this ones input/output specs.

You're pretty much better off buying another unit. I believe it's a proprietary/custom made one specifically for that unit. I've never seen a power supply like it outside of those units. They unfortunately aren't the most reliable either (I had one with similar damage to yours, though mine retained functionality).

Thanks Blue Fox, I assumed it was more common, but you're probably right. Everything from the main power cable to the PSU mounting bracket looks more and more proprietary to me every time I look at it. :(

Sucks that everything else on the box is great, but at least I'll have spare parts for another.
