ok, i have looked around, and i have found quite a few awsoem cases ( http://directron.com/sstlc03.html http://directron.com/antecoverture.html http://directron.com/sstlc01.html )
but they are all REALLY expensive, then throw in shipping and it's close to 150-200... i REALLY like the SST's but it's for my dad's B-day,(from my mom) and that's a damn expensive b-day present... SOO can you guys dig up any similiar cases? there are 3 things that i REALLY prefer..
1) HAS TO BE HOROZONTAL

2) has to fit in with a Vcr, and receiver, so should be black

3)***PREFERED, BUT NOT NEEDED*** legs on bottom so the receiver that it will be stack ontop of can breath still( THE SST's have them)

cannot be more then 5 1/2" tall and wider then 18"(length can be prety long)

Well, the antec comes with a power supply, so that keeps cost down all things considered.

I don't know much about directron, you may want to check out newegg for cases as well, or others. Like I said, I don't know anything about the site you've linked to.

yeah, i got a PSU already tho, so i dont really need it...and it has to be a case for a standard mobo, no Matx or anything...

A company called DIGN do awesome HTPC cases that looks almost as dvd player. It's very clean and Stylish. I know someone on this board got one along with a 65 inch RPTV. I looked for an official cie page but I don't find anyone so if you want any pics, google is your friend.

I'd go with the SST-LC01-B, over all i love the look of it. I own an Antec Overture for my HTPC, beacuse at the time i wanted a cheap case that looked nice, and the fact that it came with a nice PSU was a bonus because i needed one for it anyway. The Overture is perfect if you want something that's nice but cheap. If you want it to look elegant and fit in with other stereo equipment then get the SST-LC01-B.

btw, the overture has feet, but they only raise the case about 1/8th of an inch. It's not enough to provide any airflow for anything below it if they're stacked. I have my overture on the bottom, my reciever/amp in the middle, and my DVD player on top.

searched google for dign, and saw one thing in a trhead, but no links to manufacturers or sellers..the case looked PERFECT tho...any idea's?

Like I said I am pretty sure someone in this forum have it, so look in the case gallery and you should find it. I think those case come from germany but I'm not sure about it.

Well, I found this, which appears to be a bigger version of the same thing. Ahanix seems to either build similar cases or market them in the US:

Curses, you beat me at it...If you really need some help with choosing a HTPC case, I suggest asking at HTPCNews.com's forums. What a bunch of people over there. I got a few suggestions myself from there. The D.VINE series cases are really nice, especially if you get the VFD.:D
