I have both cards connected and i installed drivers 71.08, i went into the settings and chose "Multi GPU" then i had to restart my system and then it wouldnt go back into windows. I tried it more then once and kept getting the same problem, it would load windows, then the screen goes olive/green then it restarts.

do i have to enable Sli in the bios? if so, how?

Should i try different drivers? if so, which?

Thanks

What kind of motherboard do you have. Most motherboard does require you to flip some sort of switch/jumper on the motherboard and set to dual video card in the bios.
Also, make sure you have the dvi connector from the monitor connected to the right dvi port. I have the asus a8n-sli premium and although I don't have to flip anything on the motherboard, I have to set the bios to dual video mode.
If all fails, try to get into windows by using safe-mode, then restart and see if it can go into windows normally (weird but it works whenever I encounter something like this).

oh sorry, specs

DFI SLi-DR
Athlon64 4800+ X2
Dual 7800 GTX
2x 1 gb OCZ 2-3-2-5 Ram
2x Western Digital 250GB 16 mb cache sataII Hdd
2x Nec DVD Burner
PC&C 510 Turbo Cool SLi PSU
Lian Li 7077BW Case

Yeah i did change the little ez cards between the VGA slots, is there a way of making sure there right? althought i think they are, i just want to make sure, and i cant see in there cuz of the 2 waterblocks o_o

Hm...you should search on the forum for the DFI sli thread. From what I have seen around here, that motherboard is finicky. I am sure that thread will have all the answers you wanted.
One of the things I always do when I get that weird screen is to lower the ram timings. See if that help. I don't have the DFI so beyond that I really can't help you.
Also, did you connect the molex connector between the cards to provide more juice for the sli cards? Don't know if DFI has this but the asus a8n-sli premium does. I forgot to do this when I first installed the 7800gts and when it gets to windows, it would restart.
