help crysis 2 sound issue

I have crysis 2 for pc and there is a sound issue when I am in game on any mission. The sound is fine as the game starts and even in the game menu but as soon as the mission starts there is no sound at all. :( Anyone who has the same issue or knows a fix for it. suggestions too plz its frustrating me.

So sound in the menu, but no sound in the game itself ?

That is strange. If it was just the in-game music that was off, but the normal FX could be heard, that would be one thing. But having no sound at all, only while playing the game, is very weird.

I suggest you go to mycrysis.com and report that issue. I can't think of anything other than re-installing the game and see what happens.
 
So I was told that in order to fix it I would need to reinstall the game. I tried that already and still no fix. any other suggestions?
