Help Cool My DSL Modem!

in order for anyone to try and help you need to tell us what kind of modem ya got and what operating environment it is in. Desk? Closet? buried under clothes?

Some cable modems have spots to hook up fans pretty easily but we cant help you do it if you dont tell is more info about your modem.

Why do you need a fan on it? Did you mod the case or something?

If anything I would buy some plexi and make a new case for it. Add a fan or two. It'll look cool and it wont crap out on ya :).

Since fans run off 12v, or 7v if you want to slow one down, buy a seperate adjustable DC power brick like this one.
Then use one of the plugs that come with it as a connector to the fan leads. That saves modding and possibly damaging the modem.

Just take some crappy Northbridge HS/F You've got lying around, use AS Epoxy, mount, profit. It might be useful to cut a hole in the case first.
