Help-computer randomly shuts off

Ok, so my computer keeps shutting itself off. It gets as far as the Windows welcome screen, then I count to four, and it turns itself off. It will not boot into safe mode either. I had this problem last week, and I thought the PSU might be bad, so I ordered a new one, and still the same problem. I've tried it with both sticks of RAM alone, so I don't think that's the problem. Why does my computer hate me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Athlon XP 2500+
Abit NF7-S 2.0
gig-o-ram
Maxtor hard drive
Radeon 9500 --> 9700
SB Audigy
etc, etc


EDIT: Oh yeah, Enermax 350W PSU
 
Have you changed anything hardware wise? What about installing new drivers for anything like a videocard perhaps. Might want to either press F8 and do "Last known working blah blah settings", or go into cmd prompt and do a chkdsk c: /f
 
Yeah, I tried that and safe mode, neither work. Also, I can't get it to boot off a Knoppix Linux CD I have laying around. It starts to, then shuts itself off. Any guesses? Oh, no hardware changes, other than the new PSU.

tryout that program to test your RAM. itll boot into its own little OS and run various tests on your RAM.
how much did you pay for your RAM and what brand is it? remember the saying: you get what you paid for. so dont buy RAM that has a cheap price tag cuz youll get bad results. with the system i have now i didnt plan overclocking when i built it and i was debtaing on buying generic RAM or RAM that i can overclock and ill tell you what. im very happy that bought the more expensive/better quality RAM. its been a lot for me in the long run.
 
So I went into the bios, just to have a look... and the RAM had totally wrong SPD settings. I don't know how that happened, but I set them back to the default 2.5-3-3-7, and everything's back to normal. Thanks for the replies, guys!
