No no, I'm not that much of a noob. Basically I replaced my computer's 2.4ghz processor with a new 3.06ghz about 2 months ago. I run a Shuttle SB51GB and its never really given me problems reciently. WIthin the past 3 or 4 weeks though the computer does not turn on when I press the power button, but it would still turn on after 10 minutes or so, but sometimes as long as 3 hours. I have no idea why it is doing this. I origionally thought it was the cold weather (I'm at college and we keep the window open alot) but it wasn't. Now I come back from Thanksgiving break and my computer seems to not turn on at all. What can I do? I was thinking maybe one of the cables inside is loose but why would the computer start up an hour after I turn it on? I have no idea whats going on but I'd like to be able to make it work again.

Well, the computer is on now (I hit the button this morning at 11 and I came back at 3 to find it is on) so I guess its not the PSU. The computer still turns on and I also haven't used it for a week so that could contribute to the longggg time it took this time, but I have no clue why this is happening.

Just because the PSU works now doesn't mean it's not about to blow.. I would try another psu if you have access to one.
