So I have been running a P4 2.4c for some time, since they were the big thing. But recently the usb controller on my mobo died and I am out of warranty. could use a pci card but would rather a new pc.
So I have a few hundred bucks and want a pc with power but I could care less about gaming. Hardware virtualization is important to me also.
I am thinking of the Intel E8400. Now I am looking for a Mobo. So maybe you can help me choose one. Here are my requirements.
-DDR2, not 3, but compatibility is a plus.
-possible PCIe 2.0
-Never will do sli or crossfire
-Raid 0/1/5 the more the merrier.
-34 pin floppy drive connector.
Dont really know what to get between the X38 and p35
