Looking for a nice quiet case that can also cool my CPU and GPU. Will be cooling a i7 920 and 4870 or GTX 295.

Out of these cases, which one would you folks recommend:

TYR PC-X500
SilverStone TJ10
Antec 1200
Antec P193

Thanks

The 1200 is not exactly quiet. The PC-X500 isn't really set up for watercooling,

Don't know much about the P193, but I had a P180B and it wasn't exactly watercooling friendly.

Not all that familiar with the TJ10, aside from knowing it's huge.

I'd look at the Cooler Master HAF-932 and ATCS RC-840 as well.

Couldn't the TYR handle a dual rand in the inner front or rear?

Yes, but a 2x120 is hardly ideal. I wouldn't consider anything that won't handle a 3x120 or better internally for a "watercooling" case.

Hard to compare your selection, Silverstone is by far a better case. Did you have a look at the TJ07 by chance ?

The Antec 1200 is a good case although you will need to replace those crappy fans it comes with first.

Just had a look at the L.L. case in question, looks nice, they make great cases but without having seen one personally it's hard to determine mod options.

You cant compare Cooler Master cases with the likes of Silverstone and Lian-Li, quality wise C.M cases are inferior though good with a budget purchase in a pinch.

SilverStone TJ10
Otherwise good but HDDs won't stay quiet in that: screws connecting drive directly to metal cage and then there's open hole in both ends of cage for maximizing noise leak.

Antec 1200 is even less noise proof if there's anything which produces noise.

I just bought A Lian Li PC-A77B. It is huge I bought the top for it with 3x120mm fan holes set up for a radiator from the lian li factory! The front of this case is straight drive bays so you can put a 4x120 rad there if need be.

I just got that case and an i7 920 with the Asus p6t6 WS REVOLUTION. I used a promo code that is good untill APR 02 and its on the small business section 25% off all accessories that means cases, processors, memory, graphics cards, motherboards etc. I saved 320$ on just those 3 items.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccIH8rlsKLU This is where I first saw the case I always wanted but never know it existed.

antec 1200 seems corny with the fan ontop if it wasnt for that I probably would have already bought that case and never saw the PC a77

dell small business promo code 5NSKFK1HL?CRDN says until apr 02

The 840 looks impressive, but is it quiet or does it sound like a wind tunnel? Apparently the aluminum that it is constructed from is pretty thin.

The sides are very thin (I own a Lian Li V2000B Plus II and the Cooler Master ATCS RC-840) but the remainder is not. The supports and front / top sections and very strong. I am using fairly loud fans, but if I turn them down a bit to simulate quite fans in addition to the 240mm fans the case comes with it is very quiet.

the haf932 is a cheap $150 case that works extremely well with WCing and cable management. Quality is nowhere near LL and ST quality, but the ability to mount a 3x120 radiator on top is great!

Any case can be used for water cooling, you just have to be willing to do a little DIY and get your hands dirty :)
I'm assuming since you're doing w/cing you wouldn't mind cutting some holes, mounting radiators, and optimizing your loop right? :)

so what case would u recommend to water cool?

would that case be better for WCing than the HAF932 for $150?

with some cases, there is no need to do any DIY, which is always better

I have the CM Cosmos S and it's great. I'd recommend taking a look at that case for watercooling, it has space designed for a triple radiator up top and adding a double radiator inside is very easy.
