If memory serves me there is some patch out there to address this memory issue in windows xp 64bit, but I can't find it and have spent 30 minutes searching!

Anyhelp?

I wasnt aware of any issue, what do you mean? I'm running 2 XP64 rigs now, one 4 gig (sig rig) and one 6 gig (i7 folder)

I believe the patch is for 32bit, for the user to "see" all 4gb of ram.

Sunin, you may have a hardware problem.

Are you able to install the OS or is the BSOD occuring during install? If occuring during install reduce the RAM to 2GB and then reinstall the RAM after install and windows update patching. That might do it......just guessing here.

I installed the op sys with only 2gb... moving to 4gb = blue screen. I had this issue with Xp64bit a while back 2-3yrs and remember a small patch that fixed it. I think it was something with EVGA 780i mobo and the XP... I'll double check with memtest, but ugh! those sticks came off a perfrectly functioning system.

Whats the stop code ??
Is it the same every time or is it different ??
Can you get it to work in safe mode ??

The answer to those three questions will help diagnose the problem.

Luck ....... :D
