Hey guys, I am back.. and now I have a problem..

I am hooking my audigy 2 ZS to my receiver... onkyo SR303... Anyways.. I am using coaxial cable from the receiver to my audigy 2 ZS with a STEREO 1/8" adaptor..

this one.. http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...692&cp=&kw=rca+phono+stereo&parentPage=search

instead of the MONO version.. did I screw myself? because my surround sound is not working.... but only stereo... I am guessing yes?

ALSO..... is DVD : DTS NEO:6Cinema a TRUE Surround or a fake one like prologic 2? thanks.

Well, during normal music playback and games, expect only stereo (2 channels). If however you are using a DVD with either DolbyDigital or DTS, the Audigy 2 ZS can "pass through" the signal to the receiver, where the receiver decodes it in true surround sound. For this to work, you must have the device setting set to DD DTS passthrough, your DVD playback software must also be set to pass it through, and your receiver must be setup to recognize the signal (so, for my denon I just put it on Auto input).

When your not working with True surround sound playback, things like prologic, 5 channel stereo, and DTS: neo 6 will try and output the stereo sound though your other speakers. Its not True surround sound though.

~Hope this helps

Yeah, you screwed yourself. It suck to have to drive all the way back there for a $4 part...
