I have my primary storage drive , Western Digital 2 terrabyte green drive seemingly going. The unit is only 8 months old.
It is coming up with Smart Error 05 , HD Regenerator doesnt get far scanning and it is listed as red in my Mac Pro. The unit is cooled very well so its not overheating or anything
The drive is accessible (Thank GOD) and I have started backing up stuff.
It seems alot of stuff is corrupted , not all my movies but a few newer ones.
What the heck is going on , this is my second in 3 months that has died. At least this one can be worked with. My first bad one was doa.
Is anyone else having problems with these drives? Its not even used alot , just storing my dvd rips mainly and my Music
