Help after PSU sleeving

I'm fairly new to customizing my PC and everything, so today I tried my hand at sleeving my PSU on my HP machine. Although the process went fairly well, I just tried boot up and I couldn't get past the initial HP greeting screen and it would not boot into windows. I opened up the case and it seems that the hard drive isn't starting up at all:( I rechecked the pins and they all seemed to be seated fine, but I don't know what the problem could be.

Upon looking in the case while the PC was on, I noticed that the 4-pin on the motherboard didn't have an LED light on while the 20-pin did. Is this out of the ordinary? I'm really panicking now because I hope I didn't completely mess up my PSU. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Time to get a multimeter, jump-start the power supply and test each sleeved line :(

Why? PSUs are color-coded, there's no need at this point to go to that trouble

OP: How about some pics of your handy work? Also, try disconnecting everything non-essential, and try again

As far as non-essential, what do I absolutely need? Just the 4-pin and 20-pin into the motherboard and then hard drive?

I don't think I did too bad for my first time doing this, but I couldn't get the 20-pin and 4-pin off completely because the tool broke. So I had to slide the sleeving over the connectors which is why they're frayed so bad.

I disconnected unnecessary things like advised and I found one pin that was not staying put in the connector. So I had to kind of pull the hook out a little bit to get it to stay and that fixed my problem! Thanks for the help guys.
