Help / advice with SLI

Hey, I am just joining HardForum.. anyways...

I am planning to get Albatron 8KNSli mobo + Ath 64 3000+ (or 3200)

here are the questions: I am planning to use a reg PCI card for starters, till I can afford to buy SLI ones. Will the reg PCI serve as main boot card? or I gotta have SLI from the start?

also: PSU, can I use standart one, or do I need the special "SLI" kind?

You can start with a PCI card if you want. I suggest buying a SLi power supply. There are some good deals on mine Which is an Enermax Noisetake 535 watt SLi certified. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...Sku=E456-2036&SRCCODE=GOOPROD&CMP=OTC-FROOGLE I bet you can find it for cheaper too. PCI express motherboards have a 24 pin atx motherboad connector. Also another thing is the videocards have a different 6 pin connector instead of the standard 4 pin you may be used to. My PSU can accomodate 20 or 24 pins and right from the power supply it has 2 PCI express 6 pin vga connectors.
