I want to mod the side panel of my Lian Li PC-71 case :)

How about you give me some ideas of what i can cut into the panel
something cool !

I don't want to have a plain circle or square type window
 
How good are you with a dermel tool? Do you have access to a plasma cutter?
 
i'm not really steady handed with a dremel

i got hurt a few years ago and my right hand has not been the same since :(
and as for a plasma cutter lol i wish !!!
 
Use it left handed. ;)

You could find a design on the web that you like and just cut it out, or since you don't want to use a dremel, just use a hammer and nail to get a punched-tin look....very retro! :)
 
Use a pick-axe for uber neet-o holes. Also If you have a rifle, you can put some bullet holes in the side!

Tribal and games maybe


i'm mainly looking for different kinds of shapes i can make the window :)
or maybe a logo of some sort
 
Ok so tribal, google for Pics of Simple tribal Tattoo's or summit... Take the image into Photoshop etc and cut it out, Print it onto Paper and Away you go.

These are just the kinda things i found on a quick search... Might be too hard to Cut for a Novice but theres many simple tat's out there...

Game Logo's etc have all been done... (probs have tribal) But have a Looky thru the Work logs and Gallery to see if theres any thing you like and google it :)

Easier but it also depends on How much you wanna see of the guts of your Pc... :)

those tribal tat's are a nice start for me !

maybe i'll try to find one i like and inlarge it to where i can see alot of the inside of my case ! and mount a blue light !

Make sure you Cablings Tidy or you'll get shot down by the Cable Crew!! ;)

The Bottom tat when enlarged would show alot off but be Nice at the same time... imo

Hey, you don't really have to have a steady hand with a dremel, try this out..

1. Mask off entire side panel
2. Draw/trace your design onto the masking tape
3. With a sharp razor cut out your design, don't put too much pressure you just want to get off the masking tape
4. With the dremel cutting wheel cut the non-masked area, get as close to the masking tape as you can, not TOO close
5. Put a grinder attatchment onto the dremel and begin grinding upto the masking tape, it takes a while but your design will be almost flawless!

For the design, be creative make something you think you can handle that looks good.
