Background;

I've built a hackintosh using the following parts;

Core i3 530
Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H
Corsair XMS3 4GB kit
Asus GeForce GT240
WD 1TB Blue HD
Antec P180 Mini
Antec EA-380D PSU

I had everything up and running perfect and was ready to deliver, but curiosity got the best of me ! ERRRRRRRR ! Seeing as this was my second hack and everything was going smoothly, I decided to see if I could utilize the eSata port on the front of the P180 Mini - This was after much consideration and reading that eSata was *slightly* supported on the TonyMac forums.

SIDE NOTE: I also posted this in their forum

So, I go ahead and shut down the machine as normal, hook up the eSata > Sata cable to my motherboard SATA 2 position and power the machine on. OSX loads just fine and everything is dandy. Here is were it went to poop; Once I was powered on and booted in to OSX, I plug in an eSata cable with nothing attached to it into the eSata port on the front of the P180 Mini, thinking it wouldn't even recognize it - boy was I wrong.

I immediately get an error in OSX saying something along the lines of "USB device I plugged in requires more Power therefore some of the USB devices will not function properly..." Just before I could finish reading, the computer powers down and begins to restart. The computer restarts about two times, passing only the first POST screen, and then continues to restart in an endless loop. Thinking the eSata has something to do with it, I immediately power the tower down unplug the eSATA to SATA cable attached to the motherboard and try starting back up; Nothing.

I disconnect everything, reseat all the hardware, try powering on and nothing. Thinking I fried the PSU, I swapped it out with another and still nothing. I triple check all connections; nothing. By this time, Im frustrated and figured I'd give it a shot tomorrow morning with a clear mind. In the mean time, while I lay in bed, I figured I'd post my issue to see if maybe I overlooked something.

I'm going out on a limb and betting that I fried the Motherboard - all the the limb look rather small at this point.

Any ideas ?
