hi, my monitor have a weird problem
let me try to explain it, sorry for my bad english

here is the story, 2 or more years ago i bought low end model of korean (achevia)'s monitor 27", 2560x1440 with IPS (it's shows samsung in windows) panel
this monitor have only one Dual-DVI connector, don't have any On-Screen Display Menu, and connection shows analog not digital in windows.
it was working 100% without problems for a while with my GTX580 and GTX680

but one day i have to plug it into GF 8400GS card
then i turned on my computer, the display was artifacting on boot screen, but after login to windows it was fine
after that i can't enter bios menu (640x480) with this monitor on my GTX680 (GTX580 sold),
it was no problem to enter BIOS menu before i connect it to GF 8400GS

from that day my monitor stops working on motherboards DVI port
but works fine in Display card DVI port and still can't enter BIOS menu
if i try to enter BIOS menu, my computer stuck on black screen

i tried connect my motherboard VGA to another monitor for main display
and connected this monitor to motherboards DVI for second display for test
but windows shows resolution is recommended (limited) to 248x192 and monitor still black like disconnected cable

i appreciate any advice for fix this problem
 
Have you checked for bent pins on the DVI cable?

And do you really mean dual DVI or DVI-D? If so, is your cable a DVI-D cable?
 
i tested another dvi cables i have a lots of
oh it's might be DVI-D
i don't know my cables are DVI-D or not
DVI-D and DVI cables are different? i have to research about that
 
from wiki, my cable and monitor both DVI-D Dual Link
GF 8400GS have a DVI-I Dual Link (i'm using this card for backup)
Motherboards have a DVI-D Dual Link
