Help! 2407WFP-HC Blinking Power Light and Input Light

I was in the middle of using my 2407WFP-HC and the screen went blank. The power light and the input light (Input 2, DVI) are slowly blinking. Unplugging the DVI connector from the PC did not force the input logo on the monitor. Unplugging the monitor and re-plugging it in did nothing.

I called Dell, they are shipping a new one...love the 3-year warranty.

Is this a common problem? I did a cursory search of the forums and didn't find anything.

BTW: Dell Support said that if disconnecting from the PC does not force the DVI logo on the screen then the monitor is hosed because unplugging it puts the LCD into a self-check mode, which it is not doing.

One other detail....

Right before the it blanked my speakers made the USB Disconnect sound. I wonder if something happened with the card readers that are built into the display. BTW: No cards are plugged into the display.
