Just wondering if anyone was planning on playing hardcore mode when HG:L comes out. Gameplay doesn't appear too difficult so i'm definentaly going to give it a shot.

Nah, doesn't look like the kind of game you spend half your life on. Looks just like an online shooter, no different

only 1 class is a shooter though... i know most of the pics and videos are of hunters but the melee looks way better imo

Wow, I read this title and had to go look it up. I'm pretty excited now. Hardcore Diablo II was great fun. I'm glad to see the developers stuck by their guns and added a high stakes mode to HG:L too. :)

Needless to say, I'll be playing.

I had no idea there was going to be hardcore mode in HG:L. I'm definately going to be playing. I played D2 Hardcore FOREVER. Always played it on and off for years. Its easily one of the most addicting and exciting game modes.

The gameplay looks very team-oriented, and that's the kind of thing that, IMHO, doesn't mix too well with hard-core. If your team sucks, you're screwed. At least if it was solo-oriented, you'd have only yourself to worry about.

since there is no healing class and everyone uses potions like in Diablo, I don't see effective teamwork being all that important, unless you're taking on difficult stuff like questing, but general grinding and treasure hunting should be a cake walk.
