Not unlike most other SDSes, installs on bare metal, does what Datacore et. al. do.
In fact most people who work there come from Datacore, Scale IO.
Has anyone done a demo/POC with those guys yet? Like any other startup, the pricing appears very flexible as they are trying to acquire customers.
The real question becomes; if SDS, why Hedvig?
Datacore is very solid (though on the higher end pricing wise) and has been around for like 14 years. Going with a startup instead just to capture some discounts seems meh.
