I recently got a neutral feedback from a seller who already had left me positive heat feedback for all involving transactions. What happens is I tried to leave feedback to that seller a couple days ago, and I accidentally gave him a neutral. He then right away returned the same one to me even though he already left positive feedback for our recent transactions. Is it violating heatware policies? We only dealt two times, and I did leave him one positive and one neutral which I already fixed due to my mouse was not working properly, but he left me 3 heatware comments.

If you explained to him you made a mistake. Then he still did it just to think he is getting even. That is wrong period. You have a certain amount of time to edit your feedback on heatware also. I have seen numerous people do the same on heatware. Guy pays for the part and gets the product and it has a problem. Seller ignores or does nothing about it. Depending on how the seller responds or acts a negative or neutral is left. Then the seller sees this and gets mad and goes to get even.

First off let me bold this for those people like that.
The buyer did his part he paid the money. His job is complete and was done to the agreement. Nothing more and nothing less. His side is finished, period. So don't be a tool and go and post a negative or neutral because you failed on your end of the agreement.

The seller on the other hand has more steps he needs to take. Getting it packages correctly, putting enough padding in the box and getting insurance and a tracking number. Checking with buyer and giving him updates. Once the package arrives, contact the buyer and make sure it was delivered and the product wasn't damaged. Some on here can't understand how this works. You either just go missing. Don't use the right box, padding and buy no tracking number. Something happens to the package and you expect the buyer to remain calm and just hold on and see what happens. I'm fine with a few days of waiting. But when the seller does it wrong and doesn't understand it. Then they have a problem.

We all make mistakes when starting off. I for one help people that I buy from with information on shipping prices, tracking and insurance. But again some do not learn. They still want to do the cheapest shipping, no padding and wrong weight prices. Then get mad because they make a mistake or do it wrong. Communication is the key thing here in the forums. If you can sit on the forums all day and browse and look through threads. Then you have enough time to pm someone. I've seen this happen so many times here until it is just sad. Or you send them a pm because they will not update you. And they log offline a minutes after they read the message.

If you are too lazy to communicate. Then you are also too lazy to take your package to ship it off also. Don't make a For Sale thread if you can't keep your thread updated or pm folks with answers or tracking information. It will help the buyers int he long run. No one wants to have to jump through hurdles to find out where the package is they paid you to ship.

{Sorry about all of that. But this is how I feel about some of the people here selling.}

Can you post the heatware link to both parties? This will make it easier to see what is going on also. Thanks

I disagree that the buyer's only "job" is to pay their money (there are a TON of ways a buyer can scam a seller and just generally be a douche) but a simple mistake is not grounds for retaliatory feedback and is likely a violation of heatware policy especially since a third transaction never occured.

killer, I think you misunderstood the situation.

Here's what I read:

Seller leaves positive feedback.
Buyer (OP) accidentally presses the wrong button and leaves neutral feedback
Seller immediately leaves an additional neutral feedback in retaliation for the neutral feedback that was accidentally left
Buyer tried to amend things by leaving a positive feedback and maybe fixing the neutral? The fixing neutral part is unclear.

IMO, you should both contact heatware, explain the situation and have the neutral feedbacks removed.

I didn't misunderstand nothing. I told him what the seller did was wrong. But I also added why most people in here is hard to deal with. And when they do something wrong and you leave feedback they are only trying to get even.

I also stated my opinion about how I felt about issues here in the forum that lead to the heatware problems.

If you pay for a item and the item ships out. Then you did you end of the deal. If you are trying to scam then you will be banned and marked as so. Those problems are easy to deal with. It is just the pissed off people that sold something that makes heatware feedback a issue. Thanks

If "those problems are easy to deal with" then we don't need sites like heatware in the first place otherwise there would be no need/way to "be banned and marked as so." Again there are plenty of ways for a buyer to rake a seller over the coals after an item has been paid and shipped. A buyer's heat/feedback is equally relevant to a transaction.

You're welcome.
