Heatsink for Socket 939 AthlonFX

First post on these forums, so bear with me....

I'm looking at buying an FX53 socket 939, but I have no clue as to which heatsinks will fit on the socket and, more importantly, which will cool the processor effectively and quietly. I'm looking for quiet rather than supper cool and able to OC, the option for both would be nice though :p

Money is not so much of an issue, I'm already bankrupting myself buying the computer, so a couple more quid wont make that much of a difference. I'd like to be spending under £50 ($~70).

I read somewhere that all socket 940/754 also work on socket 939, but I don't remember where I read it, and I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct. Any HSF that will fit a Socket 754 or 940 will fit a Socket 939 board. So you have a fair number of options.

If you want a good cooler, look at the Thermalright or Swiftech options. Either company makes excellent coolers and will let you use a quiet fan or a monster fan, depending on how aggressive you want to OC. I'm running an old Thermalright with a very quiet fan and my temps are low (38/42C).
 
Ok, thanks for that. Good to know they are all compatible, I can go hunting a little happier now and with far more options.

I doubt I'll be overclocking a lot (unless my house mate persuades me, he'd overclocks his wristwatch given half the chance :p), so can you suggest any decent quiet fans?
 
I like the Sunon 92mm. Quiet and moves a fair amount of air. I have one on my CPU. Also Antec makes nice case fans.
