so i'm getting one of those Thermalright SP-97 heatsinks for my Barton 2500+ on my NF7-S v2 and was wondering, since the heatsink doesn't come with a fan, whether or not a 92mm Panaflo with 48 CFM will work. Is 48 CFM sufficient for an overclocked Barton 2500+?

Yes, the SP-97 comes with clips for 60-, 80-, and 92-mm fans. The Panaflo will be just fine.

I used the Panaflo Ultra wich is 92mm and push 69cfm.
I find it enough and pretty silent.

That combo should be sufficent for your 2500+.

how far do u wanna OC ur barton?
if u want 2.7Ghz or so i would say no :( but if u want 3200+ speeds then it should more than suffice, even some el cheapo HSF can manage

I'm running this combo, it's superb. 29C idle & 34C full load on the coldest winter days.
