Heatsink fan direction

Just thought I would tell everyone to make sure their heatsink is pulling from your heatsink instead of pushing onto it. I bought a cheap heatsink from microtechcomputers for $17 dollars shipped. Their site said it was new so I expected a retail box, I recieved a heatsink in a box full of packing peanuts, which was obviously used due to dried thermal paste on the side and usage marks. The heatsink was slightly dented, nothing major, and didnt include thermal paste (which would have been a problem, but my ram came with some for some odd reason) I complained about em on resellerratings to which they replied that it was a new pull (which was no where to be found on their site) And after their reply I went back to check the site and the heatsink page magically disappeared from pricewatch and their site.

Anyway I just ordered a new case and was shopping around for some cheap case fans to throw in it. Found 2coolshopping.com which has free shipping on everything (great place to get cheap little things, give em a look) And noticed they had the same heatsink, but it had a different fan. So I looked at my heatsink fan which looked normal enough, but noticed it was pushing air onto the heatsink. So I went down and bought some machine screws at my local ace hardware long enough to mount the fan backwards (original screws werent long enough) And voila a 6c temperature drop, just thought id give some people a nudge to try it if their fan came pushing stock.
