heatsink clip broken!!

I have a core 2 duo cpu. Two of its heatsink clips are broken...can the pc run? Also, where can i get the clips of the heatsink or should i buy a new heatsink?(btw it is the stock one!!)

eBay, shouldn't be more than $10.

If the good clips that are functioning are on opposite sides of the heatsink then you can (experiment) with using it. Temperature will probably be higher because there is less mounting pressure but it should work. Just realize that you are supporting more weight now (two clips to support the heatsink instead of four). So you make the call on your own.
